Cash or check. Advance required to hold the room.

Lee and Pat have run this for 21 years. They know the local history and other bed and breakfasts. They will even pick you up from the Amtrak station.

We ate Primo’s and got 10% for staying at the B&B. The salmon is excellent. The bread pudding is divine.

The Lunch was the Chinese buffet on Rt. 34 in downtown Mendota. The Wild Bill Hickok statue is close by. He was from the area before heading out west to make a name for himself.

Breakfast was banana-strawberry medley, coffee cake, pancakes or omelet, sausage and orange juice.

We stayed in the suite upstairs on the third floor. It is large. There is a large circular couch as shown. It comes with a shower and private balcony. The bed sheets were a little stiff and could use some softening.

The house is over 100 years old and has original woodwork.
